We are incredibly proud to announce that we have been awarded a Queensland Department of Education Showcase Award for Excellence in Schools for our On Track for Success (Years 7–9) initiative.
This prestigious award recognises the outstanding work of our staff in strengthening student wellbeing, engagement, and achievement through innovative and targeted approaches to learning.
The On Track for Success initiative was developed to ensure that every student in Years 7 to 9 is supported to reach their full potential—academically, socially, and personally. Through improved curriculum alignment and the establishment of our dedicated Year Level Hubs, students have access to consistent guidance, wellbeing support, and structured pathways that keep them on track throughout their junior secondary years.
Since its introduction, Bremer has seen measurable improvements, including:
- A decrease in School Disciplinary Absences (2022–2025)
- An increase in English and Mathematics achievement (2023–2025)
- Strengthened relationships between students and staff
These achievements are the result of a whole-school effort to embed a culture of high expectations, support, and collaboration—values that are at the heart of the Bremer Way.
Executive Principal, Ms Chris Owen said the recognition is a reflection of the school’s shared commitment to continuous improvement.
“This award highlights the dedication of our teachers, support staff, and leadership team in ensuring every student is known, valued and supported to succeed.”
Congratulations to our entire school community on this incredible achievement.
Together, we continue to set the standard for excellence in education.
