Deputy Principal - Year 11 & 12
Last week, we celebrated our 65th Annual Academic Awards Evening, a significant occasion where we acknowledged the hard work and dedication of our students from throughout the year.
Over 300 students received well-deserved recognition for their remarkable contributions to our school community. These young scholars aren't just academically proficient; they also embody the essence of our school's PRIDE values.
Throughout the evening, we gave out over 440 awards, a testament to the academic ability within our student body. Among these awards we recognised joint winners of the 2023 DUX, Connie H and Harrison L. We also announced our 2024 School Leaders, who promise to guide our school to greater heights.
Our Academic Awards Evening also came alive with captivating performances from our First Nations Dance Troupe, the Symphonic Winds, and two student-formed rock bands, Spire and Repent L'Amore.
We are grateful to our award sponsors, UniSQ, Mater Education, Apprenticeships QLD, TAFE QLD, Link & Launch, Ampol, QATSIF, the Australian Defence Force, Shayne Neumann MP and Jennifer Howard MP.
Our gratitude extends to the parents and carers who have been a pillar of support for our students. Your continuous encouragement and guidance have made a significant impact on the journeys of the students who attend our school.
Finally, we would like to acknowledge our dedicated teachers and staff for creating a welcoming and empowering school community that fosters a passion for life-long learning.
