Defence Mentor – Rachel Hindmarch
Rachel Hindmarch serves as our dedicated Defence School Mentor, a role delivered in partnership with schools to support the wellbeing of children of Australian Defence Force (ADF) members.
The Defence School Mentor Program connects these children with their school community, enhancing our ability to address the unique impacts of the military lifestyle. Funded by Defence, this program enables us to employ skilled mentors like Rachel to fulfil its objectives.
The program’s four key objectives are:
Information Provision: Offering families insights into the school environment and the support available for their child's developmental needs.
Support Access: Helping children access school-based social and emotional support in line with school policies.
Relationship Building: Creating opportunities for children to form connections and build relationships through events and initiatives.
Awareness Raising: Educating the school community about the effects of the Defence lifestyle on children and their families.
Through her role, Rachel plays a vital part in ensuring that our Defence families feel supported and connected within our school community.
