At Bremer State High School, we are committed to ensuring every student learns and engages safely in the digital world. As part of the Queensland Department of Education, we support students, parents, and staff to understand their role in creating safe, respectful and positive online environments.
Supporting Online Safety in Schools
With increasing access to technology, it's more important than ever that our students learn how to navigate the digital space safely. The Department’s Online Safety in Queensland State Schools document outlines how schools, families and communities can work together to support online safety and wellbeing.
Student Cybersafety Resources
The Department has developed a suite of age-appropriate programs and resources to help students build healthy digital habits:

Reporting Inappropriate Content
Most platforms allow users to block or report harmful behaviour. If your child sees or experiences something upsetting:
- Use the ‘report’ or ‘block’ tools available on the platform
- Report serious online abuse or illegal content to the eSafety Commissioner
- Links to report content on popular platforms:
If your student requires additional support, they are encouraged to speak with their Year Level Team, who can assist with reporting inappropriate content, having content removed, and providing wellbeing support throughout the process.
