As we embark on a journey of celebrating Indigenous culture and empowerment, we pause to acknowledge and pay our respects to the Jagera, Yuggera, and Ugarapul People – the Traditional Owners of the land on which our school stands. We recognize their enduring connection to this land, their wisdom, and their contribution to the vibrant tapestry of our community.

At Bremer State High School, our Indigenous program stands as a testament to our commitment to providing a platform where cultural heritage thrives and students are empowered to embrace their identity.

Didge Program
Our Didge Program offers young boys a chance to immerse themselves in the world of traditional Aboriginal music. Through hands-on experience, students learn to carve and play the didgeridoo, connecting with rhythms and melodies that have been passed down through generations.

Tiddas Program
The Tiddas Art Program celebrates the artistic expression of our Indigenous girls. Guided by Local Elders, participants engage in various art forms, exploring their creativity and cultural identity. This program is a canvas for self-discovery and personal growth.

Indigenous Dance Troupe
Our vibrant Indigenous dance troupe takes centre stage during special assemblies and occasions, enriching our school community with captivating performances. From NAIDOC Week to ANZAC Day, International Study Tour Visits to Harmony Day, and everything in between, our dancers captivate audiences with their grace and energy. They also extend their reach to local primary schools, sharing the beauty of Indigenous dance and fostering connections.

Beyond the Broncos Girls Academy
Empowering young women, the Beyond the Broncos Girls Academy provides a supportive space for Indigenous girls to thrive. Through mentoring, education, and engagement, participants build life skills, pursue academic success, and envision a brighter future.

Diamond Spirit Program
The Diamond Spirit Program focuses on developing leadership, resilience, and community engagement. Through cultural immersion, outdoor adventures, and collaborative projects, students forge a strong sense of purpose and pride, equipping them to make positive contributions to society.
