Welcome to Bremer State High School.
Proudly educating generations since 1959.
Bremer State High School has proudly served the Ipswich community for over six decades. Established in 1959 with just 120 foundation students, our school was led by inaugural Principal Mr Wesley Donaldson Napier. Originally located on Blackstone Road in Silkstone, Bremer relocated in 2011 to our purpose-built, modern campus on Warwick Road—just minutes from the heart of Ipswich.
Today, we are a thriving metropolitan high school with a vibrant student body of over 2,000. Our proud history is matched by a clear vision for the future—providing a diverse, challenging, and high-quality education that nurtures every student’s potential. We maintain an unwavering commitment to enhancing students’ Literacy and Numeracy skills, ensuring strong foundations for success.
At Bremer, academic excellence is at the core of our curriculum, supported by a rich offering of co-curricular opportunities across sport, the arts, leadership, and community engagement. From Year 7 to Year 12, every student is encouraged to explore their passions and pursue their best.
Our campus fosters a culture of respect, support, and aspiration—underpinned by time-honoured values. We work in partnership with students, parents, carers, and our wider community to deliver a first-class education and celebrate every achievement along the way.
Our students are—and always will be—at the heart of all we do, because everyone belongs at Bremer.
